Painting class with a glass of wine in background

Winter seems to inspire creativity in Romeoville. Whether you’re decorating cookies, hanging holiday lights, or making homemade gifts, winter creativity is easy to find. We’ve got the perfect challenge for your artistic talents!

Whether you love to paint or prefer to take dynamic photos, there is something fun near your HighPoint Apartment.

Cork and Craft

Cork and Craft is sure to be a hit with residents over the age of 21. Hosted by the Isle a la Cache Museum, this paint and sip event is a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon. On December 2nd, artists of all abilities are welcome to join professional artist, Crystal Simpelo, for a step-by-step canvas painting project. Bring your own bottle of wine and dress for the mess during this fun class. The theme of this painting is “Art from the Heart” so consider giving your masterpiece as a gift once you’ve completed it. Registration is required.

The Romeoville Monthly Photo Contest

Participation in the Romeoville Photo Contest is easy thanks to social media and the hashtag #PictureThisRomeoville. Each month, the Village announces a theme and residents start snapping pics. Post your images on Facebook or Twitter and wait for the results. Winners will have their photos displayed on the website and receive gift cards and goods from local businesses. This month’s theme is Your Favorite Holiday Scene, and we’re certain it will spark lots of creative pictures. Get all of the details here.
