If you are looking for things to do near our premier, pet-friendly apartments in Romeoville, the Joliet Area Historical Museum is a little gem worth checking out.
The museum opened 11 years ago in the space formerly known as the Ottawa Street Methodist Church and has since featured exhibits about the city of Joliet, its past and the citizens who have called it home.
The museum celebrates Joliet and surrounding areas by inviting you to explore the past and learn how it shaped the present day. It features award-winning touch screen visuals and life-sized models, as well as other interactive educational displays. There are activities for the whole family to enjoy, as well as school programs and special events.
In the exhibit dedicated to John C. Houbolt, a former resident of Joliet (who was instrumental in the design of the lunar orbit rendezvous concept), an interactive lunar lander simulator is available for those who want to test their skill at landing the craft on the surface of the moon.
The museum is located less than eight miles south on Weber Road to US-30 and Chicago Street; let your neighbors know what you like the best with a post on our Facebook page. To learn more about our premier, pet-friendly apartments in Romeoville, contact us today.Back to all posts
