If you’re looking to take a midday break, there are several great restaurants near HighPoint Apartments where you can relax and enjoy a delicious meal:
Owned by 1985 Super Bowl Champion Steve McMichael’s and long time restaurant owner Stavros Spandonidis, this Chicago Bears-themed restaurant and bar is the perfect place to dine for any sports fan. The walls are also decorated with Bulls, Blackhawks, Cubs, and White Sox paraphernalia, and the sizable game room offers dart boards, flat screen televisions, and pool tables. Whether you want a light meal or one that’s more filling, the menu has something for everyone. Choices include Southwest Egg Rolls, Honey Bear BBQ Burgers, and Quesadillas.
In 1986, Nick Andricopulos decided to revive the restaurant his grandfather started many years before. He renamed it Nick’s Barbecue, and it serves food to loyal customers and first time diners seven days a week. In a laid-back environment, you can choose from more than 100 menu items such as Barbecue Baby Back Ribs, Pizza Burgers, and Barbecue Pulled Pork Sandwiches.
Open since 2006, Sushi Train is known for its authentic Asian ambiance. It has a four star rating on Yelp because of its food, decor, and friendly service. The chef has fifteen years of experience and creates meals that are both colorful and delicious. Options include Super White Tuna, California Rolls, and Chicken Teriyaki.
Pop’s Italian Beef and Sausage
Pop’s first opened its doors in Palos Heights with only three employees. Opening day was a bit hectic as smoke billowed from the grill, but the restaurant thrived and there are now twelve locations in Illinois and Indiana. On the menu, you’ll find meals such as Pepper Sandwiches, Triple Cheeseburgers, and Chili Dogs.
