Below, we’re highlighting the best ones to get you started. So, if you’re ready to have fun, check out these free March events in Chicago and its surrounding suburbs!

2019 Good Food EXPO (March 22nd – March 23rd)

When: 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (Friday), 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (Saturday)

Where: UIC Forum in Chicago, Illinois

Celebrating 15 years of service, the Good Food EXPO is an unbeatable opportunity to try delicious, healthy new foods. Stick around and hear farmers, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and famous culinary professionals discuss all aspects of the food industry. Friday events begin with a networking reception at 8:30 a.m. Be sure to attend the Good Food Trade Show and sign up for one of the Good Food workshops. Last, but not least, don’t miss the Good Food Festival on Saturday!

Holi 2019 Chicago (March 23rd)

When:  5:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.

Where: Lemont, Illinois

Main Events:

Bindya Yoga Class by Saba (indoors): 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

Holi Bazaar (indoors): 12 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Cultural Program (indoors): 2 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Dahan (an outdoor bonfire) and Dhuleti (the throwing of the colors): 5:30 p.m. and onwards

Holi, the festival of colors, is one of India’s most exciting yearly celebrations. In Chicago, this spectacular celebration will be open to everyone! Come and experience this exciting festival, which is expected to double or possibly triple the number of attendees from previous years. Get a taste of Indian culture with lots of good food, music, and dancing!

15th Annual Springtide Craft Show (March 30th)

When: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Where: Recreation Center in Romeoville, Illinois

Stop by the Springtide Craft Show, now in its 15th year! More than 100 booths will showcase custom-made jewelry, candles, pet accessories, handicrafts, embroidery items, and floral arrangements! Both parking and admission are free to the public. Be sure to arrive early to enjoy the Knights of Columbus Pancake Breakfast, or grab delicious treats at the Golden Age Club bake sale. Concessions will be available, as well.
